Horse Description:
"Katie" is a well-built mare that will be able to perform as a Hunter/Jumper (in her bloodlines) and then go on to have beutiful foals that will be competative performers as well. She is very quiet and easy to handle. She is 3/4 TB and 1/4 Quarter Horse, so we are not able to register her in either of those organizations, but she could be in the Performance Horse registry or be interviewed for the American Warmblood Registry, as well as others - depending on how you want to breed her. Her sire is a well-known Hunter (TB) and her dam placed 10th in the AQHA Youth World in jumping in 1999. Her dam had a lot of heart and loved to compete in jumping or 3-day eventing.
Horse Notes:
We have just started Katie under saddle this winter as a 3-yr-old. She walks, trots, and canters in an English saddle. She longes easily as well as washes, clips, shods, trailers, and ties without a problem. We plan to start showing her in some flat classes this spring. We displayed her at the Ozark Fairgrounds Horse Fest in March 2006 and she received several compliments. She took all the noise and confusion in stride.
